Organic Basics is a Copenhagen based brand committed to transparency, inclusivity, and sustainability. Our favorite part about this brand is their passion for educating consumers on the multifaceted factors behind true sustainability. Organic Basics mentions intersectional environmentalism in the Activism tab and even points out areas of improvement within their brand. Their detailed Impact Report is not just a source of statistics and information, but also includes captivating, interactive graphics perfect for browsing!
Our Favorites
We are huge fans of the SilverTech™Active Collection by Organic Basics. Your favorite activewear pieces are made available and sustainable through the use of SilverTech™. This is a treatment where the polymer fibre for the product is covered in silver and blended with organic cotton resulting in a soft, odor controlling, and heat regulating product that requires less washes! According to data from an Organic Basics survey, SilverTech™ Active products are washed ~36 times during their useful life (half as often as traditional garments). This results in water savings of ~50% (~500 liters of water per kg of fabric) over the useful life of the product compared to traditional garments. These activewear basics are practically made to stay in your wardrobe.
